Director David Bowers has done a good job in bringing to life the characters of Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson. This comedy film stars child actors Zachary Gordon, Steve Zahn, Robert Capron and Grayson Russell. The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 3 Dog Days begins with the boys getting off school to start their summer holidays. Greg has planned many activities, but one by one his plans start going wrong. Things get worse when his father considers sending him to Spag Union, which is a military school. To add to Greg's misery his attempt to get the phone number of the girl he likes also tanks, as she is forced to leave before she can write the last two digits of her phone number.
