Developing Occupation-Centered Programs for the Community

Patient/client care is swinging away from the institution and into the community. This is true not only for occupational therapy but also for many health care providers. Just as mental health and illness and the concerns of humane care established the origins of occupational therapists, these same concerns have ushered a return to the community as a favored site for practice.
