Published in 1953, with iconic symbols of that era! In true mid-century style, the author starts with form: geometry and man-made mathematical shapes. This brilliant designer riffs on them, and then moves on to flower and plant forms, birds and animals, man-made forms and finally: human forms. Most of the illustrations look abstract and formal -like a much better clip art book. Rare, and highly recommended.
