The server supports eight 2.5 inch (SFF) drives totalling 18TB capacity and supports DDR3 memory up to a capacity of 288GB across 18 DIMM slots within a 2U rack. 5600 Series CPU power This R710 server features a quad-core Intel Xeon E5620 processor running at 2.13GHz, with a supplementary socket for a secondary processor, offering an easy way of upgrading the servers power at a later stage. The Intel Xeon 5600 series helps IT meet the performance, power, and innovation needs of the data centre by delivering a new generation of processors built on 32nm technology that can automatically regulate power consumption, and intelligently adjusts server performance according to your application needs. The server also comes with 4GB DDR3 memory, 4 PCI-E slots and uses Energy Smart technologies and right-sized efficient power supply units to reduce power consumption while increasing performance capacity. Fast, flexible controllers The server comes fitted with a standard Broadcom or Intel integrated network controller, with optional upgrades, whilst the PERC 6i RAID controller is an easy-to-manage RAID solution that seeks to simplify IT environments while increasing controller and storage reliability and server uptime.
