Dear Quad

The last of my lovely boys walked out of my life today. Who are these lovely boys? They are the "quads", the author's extended family of four-legged creatures - her horses. The author carries us away on a fascinating journey through her life back to the Second World War when she was evacuated to Devon, to her marriage, through her farming career in a pre-technical era and finally to her present-day retirement without her horses.
