   Description
feature: The DRV8871 device is a brushed DC motor driver. Used in printers appliances industrial equipment and other small machines. Two logic inputs control the Hbridge driver which consists of four N-channels and can bidirectionally control the motor s MOSFETs up to 3.6A peak current. The input can be pulse width modulated (PWM) to control the motor speed using the current decay mode selection. Set both inputs low to enter low power sleep mode. The DRV8871 device features advanced current regulation without the use of analog circuit voltage references or external sense resistors. The current threshold is set using standard low-cost low-power resistors. The ability to limit current to a known level can significantly reduce system power requirements and bulk capacitance needed to maintain stable voltage especially during motor startup and stall conditions. The device is fully protected against faults and short circuits including under-voltage (UVLO) over-current (OCP) and over-temperature (TSD). When the fault condition is removed the device automatically resumes normal operation.
