The 4018FJS is a complete supercardioid microphone floor stand solution in the modular d:dicate series offering a high-quality stage voice or instrument mic. The floor stand has an elegant and exclusive design with a black non-reflective surface specially made to handle the, from time to time, rough life in TV-studios, OB-vans and on stage in theaters and concert halls.The Floor Base has an integrated shock mounting solution by the thread screw holding the Stand Extension and Active Boom Pole. This unique design allows for a long stage microphone boom pole that is not swinging, but very rapidly stabilizes itself after being positioned. The d:dicate 4018 Capsule The highly directional supercardioid pickup pattern has a smooth and uniform off-axis frequency response. The supercardioid shape is frequency independent, securing an identical sound color around the microphone. The usual rear lobe heard on most supercardioids is minimized on the 4018FJS making it much more isolated without sudden frequency dependent peaks and dips.For speech it's all about the voice and no sound source is probably as recognizable as just that. No other microphone than the DPA 4018FJS has a more natural response to speak. No equalization is needed to remove microphone artifacts, with the 4018FJS the voice intelligibility is straight out of the mic.
