Description
The AD831 is a low distortion wide dynamicrange single chip mixer suitable for HF and VHF Receiver RF-IF frequency second mixer in DMR base station DC-baseband conversion quadrature modulationand demodulation and ultrasound imaging frequency shift detection and otherapplications. Features: The AD831 has provide +24 dBmthird-order intermodulation intercept point realization of -10 dBm LO power without the need for a high power LO drive. There is no corresponding shielding andisolation problems therefore compared with the passive mixer to improve theperformance of the system reduce the system cost. The mixer is designed as a single powersupply RF IF and LO port with DC isolation capacitor easy to use. The operating frequency of the RF and LOinputs can be as high as 500MHz. IF output is single ended voltage output. With 250 MHz output bandwidth. A single resistor connected between pinsOUT and FB is used to set the gain. The amplifier has low DC offsetcharacteristics so it can be used in DC-baseband frequency conversion andquadrature amplitude demodulation. When the mixer s output amplifier and theoptimum source impedance the SSB noise figure of the mixer is 10.3dB at 70MHz. Different from the passive mixer there isno insertion loss no need external duplex device and no need passivetermination for AD831.
