Translated into English the name means Angels hair. This is a good discription of this pasta because it is hair thin and will elivate many pasta dishes with more delicate flavours such as truffle or butter and sage. They are aranged in nests of pasta, with one nest being one portion size.
Capelli d'angelo (angel hair), with a name recalling the extremely light consistency of this type of pasta. It is one of the most fine formats among the nest long pastas. Their thickness varies between 0.78 and 0.88mm. Even the name Capelli d'angelo recalls the typical thinness of this format which is suggested for the diet of children from 9 months onwards, for its ability to help the younger ones to get used to more grown up foods.
