DCS Tecoma Seed(5 per packet)

Tecoma alata 'Orange Jubilee' is one of the few extremely exotic-looking perennials that is yet at the same time, quite hardy. Native to Argentina, it is similar to its South African counterpart Cape Honeysuckle (Tecoma capensis) in being heat-tolerant, pest-resistant and drought-tolerant once established. In warmer zones, it is a handsome woody shrub covered with lush, opposite, pinnately compound leaves year-round. The foliage drops in cooler zones but will resprout once winter is over. Very floriferous, blooming period is long from late spring till mid fall, providing an endless supply of nectar to the many hummingbirds that come to feed. The huge clusters of vibrant orange, trumpet-shaped flowers puts on an exuberant show, wonderfully spectacular. Hardy from zone 7 upwards. 8 feet tall and wide (can be kept smaller by heavy pruning). Full sun. Well-drained soil.
