Current Landscape: Walking Across Puerto Rico

Sara Marina Dorna Pesquera and María de Mater O’Neill recount their 27 routes in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. This is not a walking, hiking and trekking travel guide, but a summarized journal, of their stories. Mari Mater is an artist, educator and a design strategist. Sara Marina was a public service administrator. They were introduced to walking by O’Neill’s doctoral tutor and friend Kevin Hilton, who has come to Puerto Rico, as well, to walk with them in the many re-discovered trails. These are stories about their walking experience in their homeland.
