Curious Myths of the Middle Ages

Sabine Baring-Gould's 'Curious Myths of the Middle Ages' was first published in 1866. It became a very popular work and went through many editions over the next twenty-five years. The beginning of the twentieth century saw it eclipsed by many lesser works, but for those familiar with the literature on the subject, 'Curious Myths of the Middle Ages' remained the standard source.
