Cross Stitcher" Magazine's Book of Medieval Designs in Cross Stitch

This book contains ten very attractive designs in the current revival of this very old style to be used as cards, cushions or pictures. There's a pin cushion, tile coasters, a simple wall hanging, medieval king and queen pictures, an elaborate gothic tower, a heraldic unicorn, a detailed jewelled chalice, a colourful rose window and an elaborate manuscript sampler. Each clearly charted design has a rating for ability in four levels from beginner to expert and a project length in four levels from one evening to more than a month. There are detailed instructions in working and making up and coloured photos of all the finished articles. The 56 page book has the charts in black and white with thread alternatives DMC, Anchor and Madeira.
