CHESS AND CHECKERS "CHESS AND CHECKERS" are the most popular Classic Board games of skill and Strategy in the world. These are two- person competitive games which simulate competition between two opposing teams. CHESS The Chess Play Board has 64 squares of alternating colours( black and white). Each player gets a set of 16 Play Pieces. One player will have a set of dark or black pieces, and the other a light or white. A simple, easy-to- follow, Book explains the " Pieces " , their moves and the winning strategy through simple language and bright diagrams. The players continue taking their turns, using only their own pieces, either moving or capturing others pieces. When a Chess piece is captured, it is removed from the Play board and replaced by the attacking piece. The game goes on the same manner until a player checkmates the opponent 's King. Checkmate happens when the king is in a position to be captured( in check) and cannot escape from capture. CHECKERS is also a classic strategy game for two players played on the Chess Play Board. The board is numbered to facilitate reading and recording the game. One player sets up his/her men Black checkers/ pieces always move first. Pieces always move diagonally one space, with the exception of jumping. A Piece/man may move more than one space if they can jump one of the opponent’s piece which is located immediately in their diagonal vicinity and onto a free space. Multiple jumps can occur. When you jump a checker/piece of the opposite colour, the checker/ piece is removed from the board. Move your men into your opponent's row to get kinged. Kinged checkers can move forward and backward so they are very valuable. Whichever player jumps and removes all their players pieces/men wins.
