The Aladin MK II controls Focus, Zoom and Iris of PL-mount, ENG and similar lenses via standard external motors or internal lens decoder motors. Furthermore, camera functions like Video Return and Talkback Switching, Focus / Iris / Zoom Follow, digital RCP Read Out and Tally are supported. The camera operator's common remote demands can be used for Focus, Zoom-, Video Return and Talkback operation. Adapter cables and wireless controls are available for Crane, SteadiCam, Helicopter and similar applications. For RCP control from the OB vehicle (e.g. 12-Pin Hirose Lens Port) or serial control by the Aladin Iris hand control slider, further adapter cables are available. The lens motors (e.g. Iris) can be controlled via standard lens control equipment, serial RS connection (e.g via fibreglass adapters or serial cable), BNC connection or wireless. The Aladin MK II can be powered via the power outlet of the fibre adapter or camera. Remote camera start / stop control is supported via Broadcast Zoom Demands or Aladin hand controller.Overview of most important broadcast features Control of Broadcast Camera Functions (Video Return, Talkback, F/I/Z follow) Support of analog and digital broadcast (lens) remote control equipment Support of OB vehicle RCP signals Support of digital serial protocol RS Power supply from camera or fibreglass adapter Set up with on board display (no handunit needed) After power loss, no adjustments need to be done Remote camera start / stop signalFreedom of choice and costs Lately the Broadcast environment has seen a strong market development towards Cine-Style equipment and PL-Mount lenses. 4K cameras with fibreglass adapter and Cine-Look TV cameras like the Sony F55 / CA-4000, Canon C500 or Ikegami HDK-97ARRI are now available. However, PL-Mount lenses with internal motors are rare and expensive. B4 to PL-Mount Converter noticeably affect the image quality and significantly reduce the F-Stop. The Aladin MK II is not only affordable but it gives the DoP, Director and technicians the freedom of choice to use their preferred and available lenses. Since all settings of the Aladin MK II can be altered via display and the buttons of its main unit, there is even no need for a hand unit. RS serial signals, RCP commands and Video Return / Talkback functions are supported and ensure the common broadcast workflows. No extra cables need to be pulled saving time, staff and money. Furthermore, no additional new hardware is needed because of the support of existing analogue and digital equipment by the Aladin hardware reducing the overall investment costs.Additional Features you don't want to miss Adjustable back-lash compensation eliminating lens play Lens data and global settings storing / loading via USB Metadata USB recording and streaming Time code in (LTC) Digital wireless transmission in the safe and less used 434 / 869 MHz band Wide power-supply voltage range supported from 10 to 34 Volts S3D support with up to 14 motors (optional) Roll and Tilt sensor (optional)
