Chicken Scratch Texture Pack

Scratch textures are a key ingredient in creating natural, authentic vintage looking designs or illustrations. I use them more than any other texture type to distress my vector illustrations - hence the wide variety and extra bonus files included in this pack. Some of these textures were found in an elementary school on some old metal chairs they were getting rid off. Some were created by hand, some found on rusty old car doors and metal signs from a cross country road trip down Route 66. All of them were shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark ii camera and then cleaned of any chunky debris that may have been overlaying the scratches themselves. Tho I did leave some of the lighter grit texture around some the scratch textures, again for extra variety as well as to preserve as much of their natural look as possible. In most cases we don't bother creating vector versions of high res textures because they can be extremely memory intensive depending on path counts. Instead, we offer a lighter alternative in "Vector Bits", or small pieces of some of the textures in the pack. The Graphic Styles included in this pack are all constructed of repeat patterns which are great for backgrounds, web patterns, packaging, social media banners, etc.
