Castles and Towers in the Al Dhafra, Hardcover Book, By: Ali Al Kindi

The author of the book is enriched with documented information about the Al Dhafra region and its residents, and he derived this information from reliable sources and historical documents in the National Archives, and from interviews he conducted with elderly residents of Al Dhafra. The book indicates that the castles and towers in Al Dhafra represent military architecture and are a testament to the strength of the region's residents and their love for their land on which they built those castles. The book enumerates the castles and towers in the Al Dhafra region, such as "The Horse Castle", which is one of the oldest forts: Al Dhafra Fort, Al Qareeb Fort, Al Mile Castle, Muzairaa Castle, Al Jabbana Castle, Umm Hisn Tower, Dhafeer Castle, Road Tower, Al Aad Tower, Western Mariah Tower, Qutouf Castle, and Burj Muqab. Its location, the nature of the land around it, who built it, and what remained of it. The directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, regarding it, if there are directives, describing the castle, its sections, the materials used in its construction, what was said about it and the people's memories related to it, as well as the case with the towers, and all of this is supported by illustrations. At the end of the book there is an appendix of the documents related to the Al Dhafra castles and their towers, and the activities related to these historical monuments, with pictures of them.
