In this new title, the authors examine the great variety of freighters and coasters visible in ports and harbours around the British coast. Apart from the obvious interest to wartime enthusiasts in seeing images of long-lost ships, the beauty of these photographs is that they also show how much of the dockyard infrastructure such as cranes and warehouses that are now as much a part of history as the ships.
