The higher the Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF), the higher your safety. Omni Shade protection is at UPF 30, 40 and 50+ levels. These ratings cover the percentage of ultraviolet protection. For example, UPF 30 allows only 1 in 30 of the sun's rays to penetrate, meaning 97% blocking. Darker colors absorb more UV rays. For this reason, we rate our products on the lightest colors offered.
