The Self Contained Hydraulic Hand Operated Crimping Tool is light-weight and self-contained with a wide range of compression applications. With an operating force of 10,000 pounds, this tool can be used for tapping, splicing, and terminating overhead lines, compression connectors, and 1/2-1"" ground rods. The BURNDY® 12-ton C-head crimper has a conductor range of 14 AWG for 750 kcmil copper and aluminum, 4 AWG 556.5 kcmil ACSR, and 8 AWG 750 kcmil aluminum. A C-shaped head rotates 355 degrees for easy tool positioning even in tough spaces. A rubber covering over the head offers tool impact protection, while its rubber covered handles provide a comfort that helps ease user fatigue after repetitive motions. This crimper tool uses patented rapid advance pump technology in order to perform faster crimps, making difficult crimping jobs quicker with more efficient use of time and energy.
