This Pack has the following Contents Uttara Nimai and Balaram are two railway men posted at a remote flag station. They are united by their isolation and loneliness and also by their love of wrestling. One day, Balaram goes to meet his aged aunt and comes back with a wife, Uttara. The presence of Uttara disrupts the relations between Nimai and Balaram as Nimai too lusts for female company - Uttara. They become enemies and fight each other the only way they know - by wrestling - this time for each ther's life. Meanwhile, events are unfolding in the village nearby. A group of goons are moving about freely in a jeep and no one knows why they are here. There is a local church with a saintly "Padri-baba", who works among the poor and is there when they need him. One day the three goons get their signal and burn the Church and kill Padri-baba. Uttara realises their motive and runs to Balaram and Nimai beseeching them to try and stop the goons, but their rage will not let them do anything but get after each other's blood. The goons get after Uttara and rape and kill her. And we are left with the two wrestlers continuing to fight, without knowing that the object of their fight is no more.... Neem Annapurana Neem Annapurna is a 1979 Bengali film directed and written by Buddhadev Dasgupta and starring Sunil Mukherjee. Lal Darza Buddhadeb Dasgupta is arguably India's most eminent film maker at present. What gives special interest to this spectacular film maker is not the extent to which he has carried on the tradition set by Ray, Ghatak and the like, but rather in the ways in which he has consciously avoided incurring any debt at all to the founding luminaries of the Indian art cinema or to any other film maker, for that matter.
