   Description
Brush lettering can be mesmerising, but figuring out how and where to start can be a little overwhelming. These worksheets are carefully tailored for beginners who would like to start putting their brush pens to good use. They have been thoughtfully designed and are the product of information gathered over time, used by students in two workshops and several experiments that I have indulged in. I started out writing letters with a larger x-height' and this really helped, because once I stopped being shaky at those, letters and flourishes with a smaller x-height' came much easier. Initially it might be difficult to get even strokes on the large letters or strokes, but it'll teach you to use you wrist and hand instead of just your fingers. Letter construction is easier because these worksheets indicate stroke direction. These worksheets are easily printed on any printer - mine are from a Laserjet. I recommend using a Tombow Dual Brush Pen, a Sakura Koi brush pen or a Brustro brush pen. Camlin will work too, but keep in mind that your downstrokes may be thicker. These worksheets along with my blog post should leave you in a good place to get started! Have fun! --- Overview: - Downloadable soft copy PDF - 14 pages - Uppercase and lowercase alphabets - Instruction sheet - Stroke direction indicated - Printed on any printer, Lasejet preferred - Use brush tip pens instead of real brush tip pens - Any smooth printer paper I use 100 gsm, JK Copier --- For any queries, you can reach me at [email protected] or look me up on www.instagram.com/hazelkletters
