Educated in Harvard and Trinity College, Oxford, Captain Charles De Vane is an unlikely candidate for exposing the more erotic facets of Edwardian society. He subtitles his book "Voluptuous Years as the Viceroy's Emissary in the Indian Rajah's Court" and involves the reader in the most detailed and intimate accounts of his sexual escapades serving in the British Army in South Africa and India in 1899. Leaving no sexual taboos untested or feats untried, Captain De Vane tests the limits of Edwardian society.
