In this first compilation of his paintings, Montrose's beloved and talented artist, Bob DeJulio, captures the essence of southwestern Colorado - the beauty, spaciousness, and vitality of the land, and the hardworking, determined, and adventuresome people who came to fulfill their dreams. Bob can take historic scenes that were never photographed and bring them to life. He listens to the stories of those who have lived in that era, such as Earl May, a stagecoach driver, who ran the route from Canon City to Victor, or Tuffy Flor, long time resident of Ouray; or many of Bob's own relatives who grew up in the region. The result is a very accurate depiction of what it was like living in the Old West.
