Blackstar DEBUT 30E 30W 1x10" Combo Guitar Amplifier with Delay Cream
Your first amp should sound phenomenal. Meticulously designed by the same UK R&D team as Blackstar's high-end valve amps, the Debut 30E builds upon the perfect-for-beginners Debut 10E/15E.Bringing more power, and adding footswitch control capabilities. The simple-to-use, all analogue design delivers stunningly rich and natural clean and overdrive tones. The ultimate playing experience for any guitarist beginning their journey. The Debut 30E's convenient headphone/recording output simulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet in incredible detail, providing addictively organic tones for silent practice or direct home recording. This amplifier comes equipped with a versatile 'tape' delay effect for an immersive playing experience. Set a short delay time for authentic slapback and room sounds perfect for country and rock 'n' roll, or a long delay time for ambient soundscapes. The concept of the Debut 30E is a simple and elegant, all-analogue alternative to entry level digital modelling amplifiers. Ideal for pedal players, the Debut 100R range focuses more on tone and useability rather than unwanted "bells and whistles". The features have been carefully selected to include two footswitchable channels, a patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone control, and built-in digital delay.Blackstar's design philosophy has always been to deliver the ultimate playing experience for guitarists, WITHOUT COMPROMISE - no matter what their ability or budget. The Debut 30E continues in this fine tradition.Clean & OD ChannelsTwo foot-switchable channels take you from chiming cleans, through rich crunches to heavy overdrive tones and singing leads. Designed by the same UK R&D team as Blackstar's high-end valve amps, using the same level of testing and critical listening tests as all Blackstar products. These amplifiers have been designed to react to your guitar volume exactly like a valve amp would, providing ultimate sonic control and access to an infinite palette of tonal subtleties.Line In/Line Out featuresA 3.5mm Line In connection is provided which allows guitarists to plug in a mobile device and jam along or listen to music through either the speaker (mono) or headphones (3.5mm stereo Line Out) - perfect for practice. The added benefit of the stereo Line Out is the user can practice in silence, without upsetting the neighbours with tasteful 1am renditions of Stairway to Heaven. The Line Out/Phones output features cabinet emulation for the guitar signal, so that the tonal features of playing through the power amplifier and speaker are not lost when using headphones. This cabinet emulation also gives guitarists excellent direct recording tones, without the challenges and inconsistency of micing up the speakerDigital DelayBlackstar custom-voiced the digital delay within the Debut 30E range. When a 2-way footswitch is connected to the amplifier, the delay effect can also be enabled or disabled.Endurance Testing and ReliabilityAlongside countless hours of listening tests to achieve the best possible sonic performance, these amplifiers have been tested for hundreds of hours on electronic endurance testing equipment.According to Blackstar's own ISO:9000 procedures, all amplifiers are tested at raised and lowered mains voltages to check for total reliability in any geographical region, where electrical supplies may vary outside the stated voltages.Tests are also conducted in harsh environmental conditions, including raised humidity and ambient temperatures, using varying signal sources to simulate the toughest of gigs in the most inhospitable of climates.Extensive drop testing and vibration testing make sure that even our entry-level products will endure the difficult physical conditions of life on the road or, worse still, a teenage guitarist's bedroom! Not only do these "entry-level" amplifiers sound amazing - they are also designed and built to last a lifetime.Patented ISF - Infinite Shape FeatureLeo Fender introduced the three-band tone control network on the Fender Bassman and this formed an essential part of what is now known as the "Fender Sound". Later Jim Marshall used the same network with different component values to help shape the "Marshall Sound". This same network is now used in virtually every modern guitar amplifier design. By varying the component values within the same network, each company has developed a tone network with its own characteristic sound. However, these circuits only represent "snapshots" of the responses available.Blackstar's patented ISF control moves the response of the whole tone control network not only between the currently available responses of the established designs, but also to all the characteristics in between (hence the Infinite Shape Feature). The ISF network's response is exactly the same as the traditional passive guitar network. The bass, middle and treble controls retain their interactivity, which is key to the musicality of the circuit. The ISF is not a contour control, which would essentially be a sweeping middle dip superimposed on a traditional tone control network response. The ISF is not a parametric equalizer, which has an unmusical second order response and lacks the interactivity of the ISF control
