Despite its small size, the Flex 4K Out Full NDI Decoder delivers everything you expect from BirdDog's one cable solution, including Tally, Audio, Video, PTZ Control, Audio Intercom, and Power along a single Ethernet cable. One of its standout features is the cool touch thermals, which includes a whisper-quiet fan and unmatched thermal design. This ensures the device remains cool and performs optimally even under the most demanding conditions, including hot days and direct sunlight. The Flex 4K Out Full NDI Decoder also features the revolutionary Halo Tally system, which requires zero configuration when connected with any NDI-enabled, software-based, production system. This system is designed to be visible to both camera operators and on-air talent. The device supports a variable bit rate codec, Full NDI, and allows for adaptive bitrate control. In HD, it is recommended to allow around 140Mbps or 6 streams per 1GbE cable with some headroom. In 4K, it is recommended to allow around 300Mbps or 3 streams with some headroom to accommodate any unforeseen spikes. The Flex 4K Out Full NDI Decoder can also serve as the ultimate sidekick to your PTZ camera. Simply plug your PTZ camera into Flex via HDMI and attach the optional BirdDog PTZ control cable for full PTZ pass-through control. The device supports Dante input and output via the 3.5mm audio jack or the HDMI input on Flex IN and Flex BACKPACK. You can choose to flip Dante out of the NDI stream or embed Dante into the NDI stream.
