Bioshock is a game that made gamers look up and take notice for its exciting features, story and gameplay. This game is considered to be the spiritual successor to the System Shock series but brings a whole lot of new features to the table. Hardcore gamers, action junkies and adventure seekers will find everything they are looking for in Bioshock. This single player game requires the player to make moral decisions during gameplay and your actions will have a direct impact on the way you play the game. Bioshock is a first person survival horror shooter game that will have you on your toes trying to get out of deadly situations. This version of Bioshock was developed for the PC by Irrational Games and published by 2K games. ESRB has rated this game M for Mature 17+ as it may contain blood and gore, drug reference, intense violence, sexual themes and strong language. Synopsis and Features The game is set in the past, around the year 1960, and begins with a plane crash in the Atlantic Ocean. Jack, the only surviving passenger on the plane and the character we control, manages to save himself from drowning by swimming to a nearby lighthouse that also happens to house the Bathysphere terminal to the underwater city of Rapture. This city was built by business magnate Andrew Ryan to be an isolated utopia, hidden from the world above. The discovery of a plasmid called ADAM changed everything as it granted the user superhuman powers like telekinesis and pyrokinesis. As class distinctions grew in Rapture, resistance to Ryan's rule was initiated by former gangster and businessman Frank Fontaine who sought to remove Ryan from power. To achieve this, Frank along with Dr. Brigid Tenenbaum, created a cheap way of mass-producing ADAM by implanting the slugs in the stomachs of orphaned girls. These girls came to be known as Little Sisters. Using the harvested ADAM, Frank mounts an attack on Ryan with a plasmid-enhanced army, but fails to make it out alive. Meanwhile Ryan takes over Frank's operations and continues harvesting ADAM for profit. Another rebel, Atlas, takes up the cause against Ryan and recruits Jack to help him. Atlas instructs Jack to kill both the Big Daddy and the Little Sister in order to harvest their ADAM for himself. Here Jack must make the moral decision of killing an innocent girl for the ADAM or rescue her from her plight. Fight Ryan's Splicers and deranged citizens to make your way to Ryan in order to kill him. The story has a dual ending based on whether you kill the orphan girls or save them. Turn almost everything around you into a weapon and use different tactics to take down enemies. There are literally hundreds of other strategies players can use to take out his enemies.
