MAY 09th 2020: Beaumont 1.8 update! Updates to fraction feature code, to be contextual when activated. Improved vertical metrics for consistency across platforms and software. Improved rendering on windows. CHANGES TO WEIGHTS: you'll notice we've dropped down to just 4 weights less is more . We've balanced them so that they play nicely together, so they'll be a little different from what you're used to. Improved some kerning and spacing pairs too. OH and webfonts - we now have webfonts! --- Beaumont takes its form from the Art Deco age. Originally inspired by some signage from an old movie, depicting the fictitious Astoria Hotel. Beaumont has a one side weight scale, extending largely in contrast as it increases in weight, rather than balancing the two.
