Biasanya baby cumi asin karena dipacking dan dalam pejalanan biasanya cuminya agak berair itu karena kandungan garamnya mencair, kalau mau langsung dimasak tidak masalah, akan tetapi kalau mau disimpat lagi sebaiknya di jemur 10 menit, agar garamnya kembali padat.
Jika kalau mau langsung dimasak
* cuci dengan air
* rendam dengan air panas selama 10-15 menit, suapaya teksture cumi menjadi tidak alot dan mengurangi rasa asinnya.
* dicuci lagi, setalah itu di masak sesuai keinginan.
