As with the fixed focal length Hyperions, Baader Planetarium has gone to great lengths to give the Hyperion Zoom the most advanced multi-coatings used on an astronomical eyepiece. The Hyperion Phantom Group multi-coatings truly offer outstanding sharpness and great color correction across its 68 degree field of view. The difference in contrast and transmission is clearly visible at the eyepiece.With Baaders outstanding optical design using a 7 element arrangement it is said the Clickstop Zoom matches the performance of the best fixed focal length eyepieces and is easily comparable to each individual eyepiece in the Hyperion Range! When using the Zoom lens with the Baader 2.25X Barlow, the already outstanding lens is now converted into a 4-12mm Zoom lens, this immediately doubles the power without any optical compromise in the image seen. Note This set of Zoom+Barlow is only meant for astronomical use. It will not come to focus in combination with spotting scopes.
