Aycock Brown's Outer Banks

North Carolina author/historian David Stick asked eighteen journalist who know Aycock Brown:"How can he take an ordinary picture of an ordinary looking girl holding an ordinary fish and get it published in hundreds of newspapers throughout the country" There is, of course, nothing ordinary about the work of Aycock Brown, as his own photographs and the eighteen tributes in Aycock Brown's Outer Banks testify, nor is there anything ordinary about the OUter Banks of North Carolina, which Aycock Brown has been promoting for twenty five years as director of the Dare County Tourist Bureau.
