   Description
This book consists of the reminiscences of Cabot, a wealthy and well-known industrialist. One feels that it was written as a sort of legacy to his family and the people he has come to know over the years he spent in Maine--an area he obviously loves very much. Cabot tells of the various boats he and his family have owned. The title of the book comes from the 50-footer he had built in the 1930s, for the amazing sum of $8500 (which today might buy a couple of her sails). The book has charm, but little appeal to the sailing public in general. Recommended only for regional collections. (Photos not seen.)--Robert E. Green field, formerly with Baltimore Cty.
