Its ability to convert VGA (YPbPr, S-Video, Video) with audio to HDMI locally and transmit the signal up to 600ft sets this unit apart from the competition. The sources are selectable with the buttons on the wall plate, or remotely via RS-232 commands sent through the matching receiver device (DXE-CAT-RX, DXM Matrixes, etc).In addition, the DXW-2EU has a LAN port for connection to the network without requiring a separate wall plate. The unit also has two USB ports for powering USB devices and transmitting 480Mbps up to 230ft independently to a different location. The DXW-2EU can be remotely powered by the receiver device and also has the ability to receive IR signals via the sensor window on the front of the unit and pass them to the receiver unit for remote control of IR controllable devices. Overall, the DXW-2EU saves money and simplifies an installation by combining the functionality of a switcher, converter, and extender into one neat package.DXE-CAT-RX2-4KThe DXE-CAT-RX2 is part of Aurora's expanding Digital Xtreme Series, and the first of the new HDBaseT CAT extenders. The DXE-CAT-RX2's powerful design provides usability and features not found anywhere else. Single-sided connections for LAN, HDMI, Control and Power provide a cleaner wiring and rack mounting solution. The Patents Pending design allows the system to be powered via POE or AC adapter from either side. With a single CAT 5e/6/7 cable, the DXE-CAT-S2 can go up to 330ft 1080p 60Hz 48bit color depth with bi-directional RS-232, IR, & LAN (up to 600ft with CAT 6a shielded cable at 24bit color depth).DXE-USBThe DXE-USB is a single cable USB extender capable of transmitting bi-directional USB2.0 over a CAT 6 SHIELDED cable. Together (DXE-USB-S1/S2) the DXE-USB-H1/H2 (Host PC Side) & DXE-USB-D1/D2 (Device Accessory Side) work together to extend to USB up to 220 feet at a full 480Mbps. To make installations easier the DXE-USB-D1 receives it power over the CAT cable from the DXE-USB-H1/H2 and has dual USB ports with the built in hub. Both units can be ordered individually to work with other devices such as the DXW-2EU which also has USB extension capabilities.
