Armenian in America

The Armenian in America is a breathtaking portrait of Armenian life in the United States, featuring over 500 photographs of Armenian and Armenian-inspired landmarks and signs. Stepan Partamian was the first to undertake a documentary project of this scale, traveling throughout the nation to research and photograph his locales. Numerous landmarks and signs that appear in this book have for years remained ""off the grid,"" carrying on an existence unknown to the vast majority of Armenian-Americans. The present volume helps complete the picture, revealing the astounding geographical diversity and cultural vibrancy of Armenian life in America. Proceeds from the present volume will benefit the publication of The Armenian in the World, the ambitious sequel to The Armenian in America. The project will take Partamian on a journey across the globe, in his ongoing quest to document Armenian and Armenian-inspired landmarks and signs.
