When creating the new shades, Armani's International Make-Up Artist Linda Cantello took inspiration from the icy, opaque pastels of '60s lipsticks to create an array of sorbet-toned shades. In the 1960s, these shades were often too thick and unwearable. To combat this, Armani developed their lip colours with a special white pigment (snowflake base) which gives the same colour effect but with a less opaque finish for enhanced wearability.
