Description
Arc Unions presents a TIG welding tungsten 3/16 x 7 dimensional electrode rods with 1.5% lanthanated that features all the benefits of the expensive welding tungsten electrode at a fraction of the cost. This gold welding tungsten electrode meets AWS classification EWLa-2 ensuring the extraordinary performance of striking an arc with lower amperages. Welding tungsten electrode rods are useful for welding stainless steel nickel alloys titanium alloys copper alloys magnesium alloys aluminum alloys and low-alloyed steels. Our electrode containing lanthanum oxide for enhanced arc starting and stability reduced tip erosion rate and extended operating current range. Our TIG welding tungsten electrode ensure the best performance in AC or DC welding operation. This electrode has tungsten is doped with lanthanum oxide to improve its creep resistance and increase the recrystallization temperature. HEAVY DUTY MATERIALS: Arc Union gold electrodes used in GTAW (TIG) welding are made of tungsten or a tungsten alloy because tungsten has the highest melting temperature among pure metals. Lanthanated electrodes are popular due to the relative ease of striking an arc and the lower amperage required. SIZE MEASUREMENTS: The size of Our Arc Union TIG welding tungsten electrode rod is 3/16” (4.76 mm) in diameter and the length is 7” (175 mm). This electrode rod is compared with 1.3-1.7% of dispersed lanthanum oxide. PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY: This TIG welding tungsten electrode rod performs exceptionally well in AC or DC welding operation with reliable arc-striking and a low burn-off rate. WIDE APPLICATIONS: Our Arc Union TIG welding tungsten electrode rods are useful for welding titanium alloys copper alloys nickel alloys and stainless steels. STANDARD LANTHANATED ELECTRODE: This 1.5% Lanthanated welding tungsten rod is AMERICAN Welding Society standard EWLa-2 AWS A5.12. This electrode rod containing lanthanum oxide for enhanced arc starting and stability reduced tip erosion rate and extended operating current range. FEATURES
