Apollonius

Apollonius is a high contrast, display typeface designed by Michael Parson. Packed with Opentype features, this single weight font offers a whole range of options that designers can explore and play with to create stunning layouts. These range from Ligatures, Swash letters, Titling forms and various numeral styles that are all automatically inserted into your text. Apollonius equally has an extended Latin support character set, covering languages from English and French to Polish or Turkish. The ISO 1, 2, 3, and 4 are fully supported. Apollonius uses the following Opentype features: Ligatures - Single glyphs that cover the standard ligature forms, like fi or . Swash - Decorative letters that are automatically inserted in the text string. There are Initial forms, that are applied at the beginning of a word after a space. There are terminal forms that are applied at the ending of a string of letters, and there are also some central swash letters. Discretionary Ligatures - These are stylistic ligatures that can be applied with the Swash letters. They replace the sometimes overlapping Swash letters with adjusted ligatures that further enhance the decorative style of the typeface. Titling - This last features will convert the Capital letters into various typographic fleurons that can be used for lines and borders. The typeface equally includes a series of numerals forms to choose from: Standard - The standard numbers are capital lining numbers. Scientific - These are either subscript or superscript figures that are used for scientific formulas.
