Angleng merupakan penganan / kuliner yg dibuat berdasarkan bahan dasar yg hampir sama dengan wajit cililin hanya bentuk dan cara mengolah sedikit berbeda.. Makanan Khas Garut Angleng ini terbuat dari Beras ketan hitam berkualitas dan bahan bahan pilihan terbaik.Sepintas makanan daerah ini mirip dengan wajit cililin, namun Angleng punya rasa tersendiri di lidah kita.
Rasa unik yang dimiliki cemilan inilah yang membuat penduduk Garut khususnya, sering menjadikan Angleng sebagai makanan suguhan tamu pada perayaan Hari Raya Idul Fitri atau Lebaran serta perayaan lainnya masyarakat di Jawa Barat.
Perbedaan Wajit dan Angleng adalah proses bahan pembuatannya, Untuk Wajit yaitu beras ketan langsung diolah, sedangkan Angleng yaitu beras ketannya digiling dibuat tepung telebih dahulu lalu diolah.Tentu Angleng akan lebih lembut daripada Wajit.
