Analysis and Design of Energy Systems

This relationship oriented text combines the concepts of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics and shows how to apply them in designing or analyzing a wide range of energy system components. With basic understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfers, this text discusses the effects of codes and standards on the design process, and underscores the relationship between system components and the entire system. The second edition has been updated to provide computer programs ( written in BASIC for IBM PCs) which illustrate the logic required for various design or analysis techniques and provide opportunities to use and modify a wide variety of engineering software, and to write and debug custom programs.
