Aluminum Residential Automatic Door Sweep for 36 Door Spring Loaded Sweep contacts actuation button which is fastened to stop. Fills up to 1 (25.4 mm) gaps. Seals against air dust and water. This Residential Automatic Door Sweep is a spring loaded door bottom sweep thatretracts up and away from the face of the door when door is opened. When door isclosed the sweep is closed by an applied cam (supplied) and the gap at the doorbase and threshold is sealed preventing dust moisture and wind from entering. It is ideal for use where carpeted interiors require the door sweep to lift upand away from the carpet. Sized for a three-foot (0.9 meter) opening (overall size 36-1/2 inches (92.7centimeters) with an overall height of 2-1/2 inches (63.5 millimeters) it comeswith cam and screws for easy installation. May be cut down to 24 minimum length Finish: Aluminum Installation Instructions 1. Measure mark and trim door bottom sweep to fit width of door allowing clearance between the two stops. 2. Close door and secure door bottom sweep to outside bottom edge of door with supplied screws. Top of door bottom sweep should be 2-1/2 above threshold (or floor). 3. With door closed depress and hold sweep in closed (down) position. With supplied screw attach nylon cam to door stop on latch side of door opening. Cam should be 1-3/8 above threshold and up against the sweep. When door is closed the cam will hold the sweep on closed (down) position. 4. When door is opened th sweep flips up to allow clearance over carpet.
