Al-Marakbi: Whoever reflects on people’s words and actions, reaches an almost certain conclusion that they say something, and do the exact opposite. You find them praising the philosophy of the thinker and the depth of his theses, but they do not follow his programs, nor do they read his publications. On the other hand, they criticize the lifestyle of the artist. And the superficiality of her ideas. but at the same time they follow all her works, and they do not miss an episode of her. Personally, I am not surprised by this contradiction, for an essential reason. is that it is an inherent part of human nature in all places and times. and the words I am writing now, have preceded me to it The great meeting of Abd al-Rahman bin Khaldun six centuries ago, and perhaps many scholars before and after him. Therefore, we must acknowledge that the natures of authentic human beings do not change drastically, but rather develop and improve if they find what helps them to develop and improve. It often happens that human natures remain as they are, idling, if they do not find the intellectual and moral nutrition that takes them to the top. It also happens that they relapse and become savage and go back for many years if the nutrition is negative, and is worse off than its predecessors. Reflect on the state of the societies around us. Some of their present is better than their past, and others, their past is better than their present. The whole reason is due to the nature of the intellectual and moral nutrition to which their members were exposed.
