The organic Alce Nero Cappelli durum wheat penne rigate are produced using the historic variety of durum wheat which owes its name to the homonymous Abruzzi senator, promoter, at the beginning of the 20th century, of the agrarian reform that led to the distinction between hard and soft wheat. Grown in Italy, it is characterized by an intense aroma and by the ears up to one meter and sixty high which end with an unmistakable black moustache. The semolina dough is prepared with spring water from the Dolomites.
