Albrecht Durer: Paintings, Prints, Drawings

Here Strieder presents 80 paintings, 77 of them in color reproductions (3 paintings illustrated in black and white are lost). 106 of Dürer's approximately 350 woodcuts are reproduced (2 in color). Of his approximately 100 engravings, etchings and drypoints, 4 etchings and 52 engravings are illustrated. 26 reproductions, of which 25 are in color, represent Dürer's watercolors. Of the more than 1,000 drawings by Dürer, 69 pen drawings (21 of them in color), 19 brush drawings (8 in color), 14 crayon or charcoal drawings, and 18 metalpoint works are shown. Other reproductions illustrate documents and works by other artists.
