Pomace olive oil comes from a mixture of virgin olive oil and refined pomace oil. This comes from the remains of the olive (olive pits, peel and pulp or pomace) once the virgin olive oil has been extracted. It is commonly used in cooking specially for frying foods or as a salad dressing. Olive oil is a liquid fat obtained from olives, a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin, produced by pressing whole olives and extracting the oil.
