Airbrushed Crumpled Paper Textures

These textures were created by hand by first crumpling paper, then using an airbrush to highlight the resulting 3D landscape from one side. The result has an enhanced grainy 3D effect. Each of the three textures was scanned at a high resolution and 12 CS5 Photoshop brushes were created from different parts of the complete images to create a versatile crumpled paper brush set. Layer them up to create new textures with more depth, use as an overlay for a photograph, or to age an image, or anything else you can imagine.
