They believed that the cinema was more important than life. They thought they were Drieu La Rochelle and they did not commit suicide. They love Fitzgerald and they haven't met Zelda. It was an injustice. They still had the books, theirs, those of others, the films. Politics, deep down, they didn't care. What did they want? To be rich and famous, like in Cukor's films.
