A Sourcebook about Mary

This sourcebook brings together a great range of texts that offer a glimpse into the vast tradition about Mary, the woman of Nazareth, the mother of God, the friend of sinners, the protector of the weak, the defender of the poor, the comforter of the sick and dying. Each section of the book begins with a phrase from the Hail Mary that is answered by a section from he Magnificat; each section ends with invocation for the Litany of Loretto. In between are selections for scripture, hymnody, poetry and prose, both ancient and modern, that offer insight into Mary's discipleship and into the ways that we can emulate her steadfast faith.
