A Handful of Light

The Advent and Christmas season is one we associate with both darkness and light - the darkness as the days draw in, and the light of candles, of hope, the flame of our faith stoked up by the birth of Jesus. A Handful of Light, the BRF Advent book for 2008, is based around the themes of hope, light and darkness in the Scripture. Looking at how what we believe in makes us feel, it has daily Bible readings and reflections for every day from December 1st to January 6th, but can also be used at any other time of the year for those who wish to delve deeper into their relationship with God. A Handful of Light is ideal for those looking for their first Advent book, or for those looking particularly for devotional material. This book also contains questions for reflection at the end of each reading which can be used as the basis for a group discussion.
