Description
Excerpt from A Full Collation of the Codex Sinaiticus With the Received Text of the New Testament: To Which Is Prefixed a Critical IntroductionCambridge Texts with Tischendorf's larger and smaller editions of the Codex Sinaiticus, compared with each other and with his Notifier, Editionis Cod. Bibl. Sinait. It is hoped that this manual will not only prove a good substi tute for Tischendorf's publications to students who may not possess them, but will be found of some use to those who do. I am enabled to produce it in the present form by the con siderate liberat of the Rev. Christopher Wordsworth, D.D., Canon of Westminster; who, being aware that I had been hindered from undertaking it by prudential considerations, first engaged my services to collate the Codex Sinaiticuls for his forthcoming new edition of the Greek Testament, and afterwards allowed me to take stereotyped plates of the printed pages for my own purpose. I gladly avail myself of this Opportunity of thanking him for this and other acts of kindness, which I have been privileged to receive from him during a long course of years.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
