Over the years, the rubber grips wear out, tear up, or are simply tacky. BMW recommends to renew the complete heating assembly which is really expensive. Much easier and cheaper it is to replace only the rubber grips. The change of the rubber grip is easy and takes only a few minutes. The enclosed assembly instructions explains how to remove the old grips without damaging the underlying heating coil, and how the new grips are permanently and securely mounted.
